The Mentor Caring Programme (MCP) is an important bridge for all undergraduate students to establish close connections with the university. All current students will be included in the warm family of MCP, which consists of five parts: academic mentors, mentors, faculty coordinator of student affairs, peer mentors (senior students), and students. Academic Mentors provide academic and course planning, academic guidance, and other academic related support for freshmen. Mentors focus on daily management, psychological care, and life guidance for students, while Peer Mentors help freshmen adapt to campus life as soon as possible by sharing their learning and life experiences.

Academic Mentors assist first-year students in academic planning, course selection, and offer relevant academic guidance. Their primary goal is to facilitate a smooth transition for freshmen to university learning and to equip them with effective study methods. Academic Mentors also continue to offer academic support to students in their second year if needed. Juniors and seniors are encouraged to consult with the department head, associate head, course instructors, Final Year Project supervisors, or other relevant faculty members, for any academic inquiries. Students are strongly encouraged to take the initiative in scheduling appointments with their academic mentors.
